For the month of December, there is going to be two balls, instead of one. Then sometime in early December, the two balls will take place:

Christmas Masquerade

The first ball is hosted by Lord Voldemort himself and is called the Christmas Masquerade Ball. By 'masquerade', I mean 'masquerade', so you must be in some kind of costume, "disguise" or masked in some way. You may buy a mask, drink a potion, cast a spell on yourself, etc... However, this is for pure-bloods only, and Voldemort himself might find some interesting girl in the crowd. Though it's for pure-bloods, even Voldemort can't control where, when, and how you RP in the ball. In other words, half-bloods and muggle-borns are invited too considering you could simply sneak in and start a thread of your own at the party. This party is hosted at the GREAT HALL. The dates will be December 1st - December 10th.

Christmas 'Hour of Enchantment'

This ball is open for all students, rather than the specific blood. Each year, I pick my own made-up "theme" for the Christmas Ball, and for term three, it's the 'Hour of Enchantment". By all means, "Hour of Enchantment" is a spectacular display of different magical shows and arts of magic, each having its own special meaning. This lasts for one hour, starting at midnight. This, too, is located at the Great Hall and will be around the same time as the Masquerade Ball. Students are asked to please roleplay about the show itself. The show will consist of:

-Acrobatics - famouse witches and wizards who can do incredible...physical things with magic
-Christmas Wizard Parade - takes place outside of Hogwarts and around the grounds (Courtyard, Quidditch Pitch, some of the Forbidden Forest, and the Black Lake). Students are allowed to jump in the parade at any time.
-The Golden Age - also known as "The Before-Voldemort Era". This is a preformance of incredible witch and wizard actors and actresses, displaying the happiness and joy before Voldemort took over. NOTE: Slytherins might not be happy with this!
-Potter Puppet Pals - also known as PPP, this is a puppet show of a couple of Harry and his friends' adventures and shows of Hogwarts itself.

Drinks and snacks will be provided during the show. This all lasts for an hour. EXACTLY 60 MINUTES.

Dates and Times

The Christmas Masquerade Ball starts on December 1st and lasts until December 10th. The Christmas 'Hour of Enchantment' Ball starts on December 5th and lasts until December 15th. Both, as you can see, are in early December. I've noticed that most people here have winter breaks that are around the middle to late December and early January.
